When a client receives a BopSuite-generated email or lands on a doc-request portal, they see your firm — not BopSuite. Three settings drive that experience.
Logo
Settings → Organization → upload your firm's logo.
Use a square or near-square PNG, ideally 200 × 200 px or larger. The image is auto-resized for:
- Top of every transactional email (doc-request, reminder, invoice, signature)
- Header of the client portal (
/p/[token]) and signature page (/sign/[token]) - Public intake form page
- The signed-PDF audit trail page (small — 30 px tall)
Avoid wide horizontal logos for now — they squish on the email/portal headers. If your firm only has a wide wordmark, crop or commission a square mark for product use; the wider one can stay on your website.
Accent color
Settings → Organization → Accent color. Hex picker, defaults to BopSuite blue (#3d6d9e).
This color shows up:
- Primary buttons on portal + signature pages
- Email button colors
- Status accents on the public intake form
- Branded PDF cover and audit page accents
Tips:
- Pick something with enough contrast against white (your portal background is light) — the accent color is used for buttons and links. WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against white is the floor; verify at webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker.
- Don't pick neon or hot pink unless you mean it. Most professional services brands use deep blue, navy, or burgundy.
- Match your website. If your firm's website is
#1a4480, use#1a4480here. Brand consistency is the single biggest trust signal.
Sender email (Practice + Firm plans)
Out of the box, every BopSuite email goes out as hello@bopsuite.com (set platform-wide via RESEND_FROM_EMAIL). For Starter-tier orgs, that's the only option.
On Practice and Firm plans, the Custom email templates plan flag unlocks per-org sender customization. Settings → Branding → Sender email:
- Pick a verified sender domain (you'll DNS-prove ownership)
- Set sender display name (e.g.,
Smith Law Group) - Optionally customize the email body templates
Heads-up — full per-org SMTP requires a paid Resend or SendGrid account on your end and a couple of DNS records (SPF, DKIM). It's fully supported but you have to do the DNS plumbing once. Email us at hello@bopsuite.com and we'll walk you through it.
If you don't want to set up your own sending domain, the default hello@bopsuite.com is fine — clients see your firm's NAME on the from address (Smith Law Group <hello@bopsuite.com>), not "BopSuite," so it doesn't break the experience.
Where else your branding shows up
Once logo + color are set, they propagate automatically:
| Surface | What renders |
|---|---|
| Doc-request emails | Logo, button color |
| Doc-request portal | Logo + name in header, accent on buttons + status pills |
| Signature request emails | Logo, button color |
Signature pages (/sign/[token]) |
Logo + color in chrome |
| Signed PDFs | Logo on cover page, accent on heading bars |
Invoice payment page (/invoice/[token]) |
Logo + color |
| Invoice email (Stripe-hosted) | Whatever is set in your Stripe Connect account branding |
| Intake form public page | Logo + accent color |
| Reminder emails | Logo, button color |
Stripe Connect branding (separate)
Stripe-hosted invoice payment pages inherit branding from your Stripe Connect Express account, not from BopSuite directly. To brand those:
- From Settings → Payments, click "Manage Stripe account" (opens Stripe-hosted dashboard)
- Inside Stripe Connect → Branding → upload logo + accent color there separately
Painful that you set it twice; we don't have a way to push branding to Stripe automatically yet. Set both and forget.
Quick check
After you set logo + color:
- Open a test matter
- Send yourself a doc request (use your personal email)
- Open the email on a phone — verify logo renders, button is your color, no broken images
- Click through to the portal — verify same look
- Submit a field
- Approve it as the firm
- Check the "submission ready for review" notification email
If all four touchpoints look right, you're set. Move on.
